His performances captivate audiences with heartfelt lyrics, rich melodies, and a voice that echoes generations of Southern musical heritage.

Ghost’s musical journey began at just five years old, singing beside his grandmother in the Holiness Church. As the middle child of three, he grew up immersed in music and quickly developed a passion for expressing himself through song.

While in college, he joined the Gospel ensemble FAITH Ministries, an experience that helped shape his artistry and opened doors—most notably, the chance to share the stage with Grammy Award-winning artist Michael McDonald.

Now stepping confidently into his solo career, Ghost Ghoston is embracing his identity as a songwriter and storyteller. His latest self-written single, "Do It For Myself," showcases his unique sound and is quickly gaining momentum, resonating with listeners who crave authenticity and soul.

Grandmama Ollie

Ghost was introduced at a young age to his love of music by his late grandmother Ollie Jean. She reared him in the holiness church and introduced him to quartet greats like the Soul Stirrers, Highway QC’s,The Caravans, and Clara Ward Singers that stayed in rotation on her stereo system. Ollie Jean took him from church to church singing for “peppermints” at the age of 5.

A Sunday “Saint” and Saturday “Sinner” as the old folks would say, GHOST credits his love of Blues and Southern Soul to his father who would steady bump greats like Johnnie Taylor, Tyrone Davis, BB King and Bobby Blue Bland throughout the home. Ghost spent many car rides down in Delta memorizing the songs word for word and his first being “I Found A Love” the Falcons Feat WIlson Pickett hit covered by Johnnie Taylor.
